Why rebrand to Partner Partner?
Explore why we rebranded to Partner Partner from Prish and what this means for Shopify and other ecommerce agencies.
First, we wanted a name that reflected what we're all about.
As a company, and as individuals, we’re committed to building tools to help as many agencies and freelancers in the Shopify ecosystem benefit from a partner sales motion. One goal, to help everyone win more business, together.
While Prish was a fantastic name to capture attention early it didn’t have what we needed for the future of the company.
It started with a slogan.
It’s not a big mystery, our new name evolved from a very simple slogan, a concept so to say.
“Will you be our partner, Partner?”
As they say, the rest was history, and the concept stuck.
Originally, it was offset, one partner with more punch below one with a lighter profile. We decided that partners are equals and should be depicted as such, even if only in font weight. Our original concept morphed.
Then came the tandem bike.
Once we settled on Partner Partner we needed to find imagery that really got what we were trying to convey. All while not becoming too silly. Did we succeed?
We needed something that captured the “better together” story. We needed something nostalgic that played well with our choice of the simple hand-drawn characters.
A hand-drawn tandem bike was our first winner.
The bike evolved and took on new meaning.
As we continued investing in the core product, we also refined our approach to the bike. We wanted it to have a cleaner finish and we wanted to inject some additional meaning in the design.
With that in mind, we simplified the design and best yet, incorporated parallel lines.
Parallel lines had become synonymous with our purpose, to empower agencies and freelancers to more effectively sell both alone and, crucially, together in parallel with their partners. Tilt both wheels forward to evoke a sense of speed and we were off to the races. Add a second flag to tail to emphasize the multiple partners riding together, and we reached perfection.
